The United National Congress’ (UNC) Rudranath Indarsingh will return as MP for Couva South following a comfortable lead in the 2020 General Election. Speaking to media just next door to his office, Indarsingh expressed confidence in Political Leader of the party, Kamla Persad Bissessar.

“We are a very strong party, we have 19, we have a very resilient leader, we have a bunch that I think could hold the PNM to account in the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago and outside of the parliament,” he said.

Pointing out a slew of issues, Indarsingh levels some blame on the Election and Boundaries Commission (EBC). He says confusion among the votership could have impacted the outcome.

Indarsingh was the lone speaker on behalf of the UNC at the Couva South Hall on election night.
