Investigations continue into Curepe death

The body of a man which was discovered in Curepe on Thursday afternoon has been confirmed as that of Ginty Kow.

Kow, 38, was a well-known and well-loved person in the food industry most recently employed at Chaud Café Vite.

Police are still trying to determine how Kow died. An autopsy has been ordered to determine this.

His body was found around 3.30 pm on Thursday at an apartment complex off McInroy Street, Curepe.

According to reports, residents detected a stench and upon investigating they found the body of a man who resided in one of the apartments.

The police were notified and officers from the St Joseph Police Station and the Homicide Bureau, responded.

The body, police said, was in an advanced state of decomposition, and as a result, an autopsy was ordered to determine what caused the death.

The deceased, police were told, was last seen alive about three weeks ago by residents of the apartment complex.
