Iwer George promises to deliver Road March hit on Boxing Day
Created : 19 December 2017
Soca veteran Neil 'Iwer' George is promising to deliver a revolutionary soca track to his fans on Boxing Day after a 17-year hiatus from participating in the event.
In 2000, Iwer released 'Carnival Come Back Again' where he placed second to Super Blue in that year's Soca Monarch competition.
That year, he tied with Super Blue for the Road March competition after it was reported that he would not win because his song was never played before any judging point in Point Fortin. The carnival stakeholders however, could not produce any documents to corroborate the claim and so, Iwer was set to tie with Super Blue.
In his statement issued today, Iwer apologized to fans for not producing any road march songs. He said come Boxing Day 2017, this will change.
