Watch: Jereem grabs Gold in Men's 200m after England disqualification

T&T's Jereem Richards has grabbed a gold medal in the Men's 200m final at the Commonwealth Games, becoming the first male 200 m medalist for this country since 1970.

England's Zharnel Hughes was disqualified on Thursday after he appeared to impede Richards who was in the lane to his left. Richards was subsequently awarded the men's 200m gold.

Richards clocked 20.12 seconds, edging out Canada's Aaron Brown who ran 20.34 seconds.

Hughes’ disqualification means Northern Ireland's Leon Reid, who originally crossed the line fourth, is moved up to a bronze medal.

England are reportedly appealing Hughes' disqualification.
