KFC, Pizza Hut to stop accepting old $100’s on Dec 23

Prestige Holdings, franchise holder for KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway, Starbuck's and TGI Fridays, will stop accepting the old, paper based $100 notes.

They issued the notice via their social media pages.

Prestige joins a host of other businesses like Island Hobbies and smaller merchants who’ve also listed cut off dates.

The US Embassy also announced that they’d be cutting off on December 13.

The move comes after the government announced that the old $100 bills were to be replaced by new, polymer notes. The old bills will be demonetised on December 31.
