KPMG Trinidad and Tobago has been awarded a contract to assist with the recruitment and selection process of a Commissioner of Police.

A release from the Police Service Commission said with this contract, they have moved a step closer in its task to recruit and select a Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commissioners of Police for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).

"On Thursday, July 20, 2017, a meeting took place at the Commission’s offices which brought together representatives from the Police Service Commission and KPMG Trinidad and Tobago to discuss implementation of the project," the PSC said.

"The recruitment phase of the project is expected to take four months to complete with the firm providing support to the Commission in designing and managing the advertising, application and assessment processes so as to ensure that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has the leadership it requires to meet the needs of the organisation and to satisfy the requirements of safety and security for all of Trinidad and Tobago now and into the future."
