La Brea man, 44, held with counterfeit US currency

A 44-year-old La Brea man has been arrested for the possession of counterfeit US currency and possession of a forged Trinidad and Tobago driver’s permit on Wednesday.

According to reports, the suspect was held by officers of the Ste. Madeline Police Station around 7:20 pm, during an anti-crime exercise in the district.

During the exercise officers had cause to stop the suspect who was driving a motor vehicle along the Manahambre Road and conducted a search of the vehicle.

The search resulted in the discovery of two US $100 bills and a forged driver’s permit.

The man was arrested in connection with the finds.
