La Horquetta children get visit from Santa

Children from the La Horquetta community received a surprise visit from Santa as he brought much-needed Christmas cheer to communities which had been affected by flooding earlier this year.

The visit, which was hosted by Excellent Stores along with W107.1FM, featured a motorcade, led by Santa, which took place on November 23, 2018.

The visit comes after communities in Greenvale, La Horquetta were devastated by catastrophic flooding in October 2018.

The visit was held at the La Horquetta Community Centre in Arima, and featured gospel entertainer Nehilet Blackman and a range of activities courtesy Excellent Stores.

Santa’s Motorcade started its journey from the Excellent Stores Arima branch through the streets of La Horquetta and the surrounding environs, bringing early Christmas gifts while they entertained by live performances from local gospel artist, Nehilet Blackman, reminding all of the real reason for the season.

Santa’s journey ended back at Excellent Stores at the Shops of Arima where kids of all ages were treated to a storytime session as well as photos with Santa, live parang, performances from Nihelet Blackman, sorrel and other treats.
