La Romain man arrested for gun, protected animals

A La Romain man was arrested for possession of a firearm and six prohibited animals on Monday.

During an anti-crime exercise in the Erin district, officers of the Erin Police Station stopped a white Nissan Tiida motor vehicle which was being driven by the 41-year-old man along Jackson Trace, Buenos Aires.

Police found one shotgun in the backseat, one agouti, one macaw and four monkeys in cages in the trunk of the vehicle.

The suspect was immediately arrested and taken to the Erin Police Station pending charges.
