Labourer among two charged with sexual touching of minors

Officers of the Child Protection Unit (CPU) have arrested and charged two men for sexual offences against minors.

A 47-year-old unemployed man of School Road, Long Circular St James is expected to appear before the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court on Monday on one count of sexual touching of a minor.

The second accused, a 38-year-old labourer of Gold Finch Ave, Sou Sou Lands, Tobago, is also expected to appear before the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday on one count of sexual touching of a minor.

The exercise was spearheaded by W/Supt (Ag) George, ASP Nowbutt and supervised by Insp Francis and Sgt Miller.

The Child Protection Unit has emphasized that all reports of child abuse will be thoroughly investigated.
