Laventille East MP rolls out new resident e-access service
Many businesses are tailoring their services to ensure they continue to meet the needs of their customers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The same stands true for politicians who are finding innovative ways to keep in contact with constituents and provide much-needed assistance during this time.
Laventille East MP Adrian Leonce is one of these individuals, having introduced a new online system that replaces the need for physical visits to his constituency office.
Through Linktree, a free social media reference tool, Laventille East constituents will be able to select the services they need from the comfort of their home.
By following this link constituents can request social assistance, join the employment recruitment database, enquire about food card distribution and more.
Leonce explained how the new e-access service would work.
He said: “The form is simple and user friendly so please be sure to fill out all the necessary items on it so that my office staff can easily assist you. After submitting your form, you will be contacted within five working days for an update.”
Users must have an active email address to access the platform.
He said the new service is something he and his constituency team have been working on for some time.
“To increase my office’s efficiency, flow and to avoid breaching COVID-19 regulations, we’ve designed an online form for my constituents which can replace a physical outing to my constituency office.
It should also assist those persons who can’t get time off from work or others who find it difficult to physically come to office; I’m bringing the office to you,” Leonce said.
