Letter, social media posts linked to teen’s disappearance
New clues into the disappearance of 16 year-old Shindlar Cuffy have surfaced after her mother found a note on Christmas Eve allegedly written by her daughter.
The girl was last seen on November 26, after boarding a taxi to school.
The letter, which was allegedly written by the teen, states that she has been sent on a mission.
“Dear family, I am sorry I had to leave but leaving is the only option, staying here is only killing your spirit faster. I love you all dearly. The Lord has sent me on a mission and I must obey. I can disobey him. I just want to let you know I will be okay. I am safe. Please don’t worry about me and I’ll be okay. I love you all so much and I will miss you,” the letter read.
A voice recording said to be that of the teen has also been making the rounds on Facebook.
A female voice is heard saying she is safe and it would be a waste of time to look for her.
“Looking for me is actually wasting your time and calling the police is also wasting your time. I am going on a missing and I am not coming back.”
The recording has not been verified.
Anyone with information on the teenager’s disappearance is asked to contact the police.
