LIAT flights cancelled as industrial action continues
Created : 8 June 2017
Regional travellers have been left stranded for a second consecutive day, as a number of flights have been cancelled today due to ongoing industrial action by members of the Leeward Island Airline Pilots Association (LIALPA) who are seeking an agreement on negotiations for higher wages.
LIAT in its latest advisory advised passengers to contact their Call Centre for rebooking or advice on travel.
“Passengers who have been affected will be allowed to rebook within the next two weeks with all change fees waived,” the advisory further stated.
LI 335 from Barbados to Trinidad; LI 336 from Trinidad to Barbados; LI 512 from Antigua and St. Kitts and LI 393 from Barbados to Guyana have been cancelled today.
Passengers are being advised to expect delays on the services which will operate.
LIAT is again apologising for these disruptions.
A further advisory will be given at 5:00 p.m.
