'Lion' gunned down outside La Romaine pharmacy, customers traumatised

Customers and citizens near the Superpharm Pharmacy at Gulf View, La Romaine were left traumatised after a man was gunned down in the doorway of the building around 10:20 pm on Thursday night.

The victim has been identified as Gary McLaren also known as 'Lion' of Temple Street, La Romaine.

Sources say gunmen waited for McLaren as he exited the pharmacy and shot him multiple times.

Roughly 20 spent shells were gathered at the scene.

Moments later, witnesses stayed in the pharmacy while others were in their vehicles traumatised by the incident.

This was expressed by Guardian journalist Kevon Felmine who happened to visit the pharmacy seconds after the crime.

According to police, the murder appeared to be gang and drug-related.
