Longdenville family tied up and robbed

Central Division police are searching for three men who broke into the home of a Longdenville couple.

The victims, a 56-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, told police that they were at their home with other relatives around 10.00 pm on Saturday night when three men broke into their home.

The men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, announced a hold-up. They then proceeded to tie the victims up in a bedroom on the northern side of the home, and left them.

The assailants then proceeded to steal several items of value, including jewellery and electronics, which had a cumulative value of over $10,000.

The bandits also stole a bottle of Johnnie Walker scotch, police were told.

All three suspects then escaped in a silver Nissan B13 vehicle which was waiting outside.

The victims were eventually able to untie themselves and raise an alarm.

Officers from the Central Division responded and are continuing inquiries; Cpl Boxill is spearheading this investigation.

More on this as it becomes available.
