Longdenville man in court on murder charge

A 33-year-old labourer is expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate today charged with the January murder of Kenneth Nagim.

The accused, Nigel McSween, a labourer from Palmiste, Longdenville, was charged on Thursday following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul.

Nagim, 35, a labourer also from Longdenville, was found dead at an abandoned house located at Boodram Street, Jerningham Junction, Cunupia, on January 6, 2019.

The accused was arrested in the Toco district by officers of the Toco Police Station, on November 26, 2019.

Investigations were supervised by Insp. Darryl Corrie and Cpl Forbes of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region 3.

Charges were laid against McSween by WPC La Rode, also of HBI Region 3, on Thursday.
