Loop Sunday Lunch - Honey Ginger Stir-fried Shrimp and Broccoli

Enjoy a deliciously healthy Asian-inspired dish from Savory Bites Recipes:


0.5 lb Shrimp, cleaned and deveined

For Sauce:

1/4 Cup Organic Honey

3 Tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce

2 Tbsp minced Garlic

2 Tbsp Lemon Juice

1 Tbsp minced Ginger

1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder


2 Tbsp Butter

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

1 Cup Broccoli,florets,steamed

2 Spring Onion/Scallion,green,2 Inch long cut

Salt to taste



1. Clean the Shrimp,peel of the shell,devein.

2. Keep the tail on or off.

3. In a mixing bowl, add the ingredients for sauce and mix well.

4. In a ziploc bag or container/bowl,add the shrimp and add 1/3rd of the sauce mix.

5. Refrigerate for 10 to 15 mins.

6. In a pan,add olive oil and butter,add the marinated shrimp in a single layer,discard the marinade.

7. Add the steamed broccoli along with shrimp and cook turning the sides for 40seconds.

8. Take them off the pan.

9. Add the remaining 2/3rd sauce mix to thepan and cook it for sometime till the sauce slightly thickens.

10. Add the shrimp,broccoli and scallion greens to sauce,cook further for another 40 to 50 seconds.

11. Adjust salt.

Serve immediately with rice or side of your choice.
