Further, the series will explore how these factors have contributed to the creation of unhealthy and unsustainable stereotypes and contributed to, or stymied Caribbean development.
The Emancipation talk features: Reigning Miss Universe & Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi, Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam, 1st Black Miss Universe, Janelle Penny Commissiong, First black Miss World, Jennifer Hosten.
The talk airs from 2 pm-3 pm AST on LOST TRIBE CARNIVAL’S Instagram (@losttribecarnival) and over on UN Women Caribbean Facebook Page Facebook.com/unwomencaribbean.
The UNLearn series encourages Caribbean women and men to highlight what has worked in eliminating sex, gender and race-based inequalities and what else should be done to promote sustainable development regionally.
Through the UNLearn series THE LOST TRIBE & UN Women MCO Caribbean aims to highlight Caribbean voices, to inform and systematically inform ongoing global discussions and movements.
