The Lounge: Arielle Cowie makes push for int'l stardom
Arielle Cowie may not yet be a household name in Trinidad and Tobago but she is already grabbing headlines in Africa and Jamaica as she makes a push to become a global star.
A former national hockey player, Cowie dreams of being an international singer, a dream she left her job in the marketing to pursue full time.
Cowie emerged on the scene in 2016 on the sultry song Drop with rapper Jay Nahge and System 32 and has since impressed audiences with her vocals as a performer at events such as Diner en Blanc and accompanied by BpTT Renegades at the Big Five Steelpan Concert in 2017.
In late November last year, Cowie, who sings a combination of pop, R&B and soca, dropped her single ‘Feeling’, produced by 1st Klase and written by herself, Klase, Nahge and Sean Nebula now Chopikal. The feel-good song was accompanied by a video which the 27-year-old shot in Belmont where she went into the plannings and rallied the community children to come out and play games.
Her latest song is called ‘All to Me’ and the sexy video was shot in Jamaica were Cowie has been spending some time lately working on some big collaborations.
