Last week schools around the country gathered at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) for WE Day Community.

WE Day Community is the world’s largest youth empowerment event for social good.

The Trinidad and Tobago edition brought together 1000 students and educators from across the Caribbean to recognise young people creating a difference in their local and global communities.

WE Day is part of the free service-learning programme, WE Schools and is run by WE, a Canadian organisation with sponsorship from RBC and others.

Erin Barton, Chief Development Officer at WE, stopped by the Lounge to tell us about her organisation and the work they are doing in T&T to help the youth make the country and their world a better place.
