A 33-year-old man was killed on Thursday night in Maloney.
The deceased has been identified as Keston Prince of Maloney Gardens.
According to police reports, around 9 pm officers of the Maloney Police Station were conducting mobile patrols in the area when they heard several loud explosions.
Upon investigating, they were told that two men in hooded clothing had shot and killed a man in the corridor of Building 14.
Acting on the information received, the investigators made their way to the location given and found the bullet-riddled body of the 33-year-old.
The area was cordoned and several stop searches were conducted of persons in the area.
However, the killers were not found.
Crime scene investigators visited the scene, and several spent shells were recovered.
The body was viewed by a district medical officer who made certain pronouncements before ordering the body’s removal to the Forensic Science Center in St James where an autopsy was performed.
The deceased, police said, was known to them, as he had once been held with a loaded firearm.
He had also been the victim of a previous shooting and had even reported threats on his life.
