Man dies after shooting at Sangre Grande home
A 46-year-old man who was shot at his Sangre Grande home by intruders has succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Jameson Williams of Quash Trace, Sangre Grande.
Williams was shot on the afternoon of May 6.
He died at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex on Wednesday.
Around 12:40 p.m. on May 6, the victim was at his home when he attempted to enter his vehicle.
At the same time, a silver station wagon motor vehicle stopped in front of the deceased’s gateway.
A man alighted from said vehicle armed with a firearm, announced a hold-up and fired several shots at Williams – hitting him several times about the body.
The vehicle then sped away.
Williams, police said, suffered gunshot wounds to his right shoulder, left hand, head, neck and arms, soft palette and hard palette.
On Wednesday, after fighting for his life for about three weeks, he succumbed to his injuries.
He was pronounced dead by Dr Ramsingh.
Sgt Hazel is continuing inquiries.
