Man due in court after burglary at business place

A 45-year-old man was due to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate on Friday on charges of larceny.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday, following an investigation into a burglary which was reported on the night of January 18 at the Alpha Engineering Construction company.

The business had been secured on the night of January 18 by employees, but upon returning the following day, it was observed that the premises had been broken into and items were missing.

A report was made to the police and inquiries were launched by WPC Obrien.

This resulted in the arrest of the 45-year-old, who was subsequently charged by the WPC.

He was due to appear before an 11th Court Magistrate on Friday morning.

More on this as it becomes available.
