Special Olympics athlete found dead

The man discovered with his face bashed in behind a vegetable stall in Woodland on Saturday, has been identified as Special Olympics athlete 34-year-old Sean Gibson.

According to reports, the owner of the stall made the shocking discovery around 8 am, as he was preparing to sell his goods.

He contacted police.

Gibson was identified by relatives.

An autopsy is expected to take place on Monday.

Gibson, is a former football captain and has represented T&T at the Special Olympics in floor hockey.

An autopsy has been ordered after an unidentified man was discovered with his face bashed in behind a vegetable stall in Woodland on Saturday morning.

According to reports, the owner of the stall made the shocking discovery around 8 am, as he was preparing to sell his goods.

He contacted the police.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man.

The deceased is of African descent and was dressed in a red three-quarter pants, a white jersey and black shoes.
