Man found dead at home in St James
Police were called to a residence in St James where the body of a man was discovered on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Arthur James of St James Terrace.
At about 9 am today, his neighbours detected a foul smell and contacted police.
Officers, upon arriving at the one-bedroom home, found James’ partially decomposed body lying on the ground.
The area was cordoned off and crime scene investigators, as well as the district medical officer (DMO), were notified.
Police were, at the time, unable to say if there were any marks of violence on the body of the deceased after an initial examination.
James, LoopTT was told, was last seen alive on the morning of July 4 by residents of the area.
He was said to be a watchman at a transport company in the area.
