Man found dead in East Port of Spain identified
Update May 13, 2019, 8:30 am:
A man who was found shot to death in East Port of Spain has been identified as 44-year-old Daniel Thomas.
Thomas, of McShine Village, Laventille, was found dead behind the wheel of a blue Nissan Almera at the Desperados Panyard in Laventille around 7.30 am on Sunday morning.
He had been shot multiple times about the body.
Police were told that Thomas was a seaman, who also worked part-time as a private hire driver.
They have no motive for the killing.
Thomas was a father of four children, police were, told between the ages of two and 15.
An autopsy is expected to take place on Monday at the Forensic Science Center in St James.

Police officials rushed to the scene where a man was found dead in Port of Spain.
While information is still coming in, from initial reports, the body of a man which bore multiple gunshot wounds was found around 7.30am Sunday in the vicinity of Desper’s Pan Tent in Port of Spain.
The body was found slumped against the driver’s seat in a blue Nissan Sedan.
The deceased remained unidentified up to 9:40 am Sunday.
