Man found murdered in vehicle outside Valencia home

The sound of explosions was not unusual to some Valencia residents who paid no attention to the noise, only to stumble upon the body of their neighbour on Thursday night.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Samuel Mcquilkin.

According to reports around 6:30 pm, residents of Swan Quarry Road, Valencia heard explosions but did not pay much attention to it.

Hours later, at around 9:35 pm, they observed Mcquilkin's car parked in his driveway with the engine running while music played.

Finding it strange, they checked and found him slumped behind the wheel of his white ad wagon.

Police were immediately contacted.

The officers responded and cordoned off the area.

Sources say they are yet to determine a motive for the killing as Mcquilkin was not known to police.
