Man gunned down near Tunapuna market

A man was shot and killed near the Tunapuna market on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Emmanuel Akiel Boucher.

Police say Boucher lived at St. Augustine Circular Road, Tunapuna.

According to reports, the victim was walking along the roadway in Tunapuna around 12:25 a.m. when he got into an argument with another man.

Police say the man then followed Boucher and shot him near the Tunapuna market.

The victim died at the scene. An autopsy has been ordered.

This is the second murder to have occurred overnight; an alleged gang leader was gunned down near SuperPharm at Gulf View, La Romaine on Thursday night.

Gary McLaren of La Romaine was shot and killed in the doorway of the building.
