Man held at port with drugs, ammo

A 29-year-old man was held on Thursday at the Port Authority in Port of Spain with a quantity of cocaine and ammunition.

The man, LoopTT was told, had in his possession 28 grammes of cocaine, as well as four rounds of .38mm ammunition, at the time of his arrest at the service department of the Port Authority, in Port of Spain.

As a result, he was due to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate on Friday.

Another man was held on inquiries of uttering a forged document.

The two were held during a police exercise by officers of the Port of Spain Division and Licensing Unit in the capital city on Thursday.

The exercise took place between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm and also saw 30 persons issued fixed penalty tickets.

Snr Sup Pragg spearheaded this exercise, and he was aided by Sup Ablack, Sgt Bharath, Cpl Arthur, PC Romany, PC Orr, PC Nanan, and WPC Wickham.
