Man shot by cops in confrontation warded at hospital

A 37-year-old man who was shot twice by police on Sunday during a confrontation with Police in Princes Town remains under police guard.

He is reportedly in a stable condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.

He is under police guard.

The 37-year-old was shot twice in this incident, once to his groin and once to his leg.

Once he is discharged he is expected to be taken to the Princes town Police Station and charged with the relevant offences related to this incident, which took place at his parent’s home along Ayers Street, off Lothians Road, Princes Town.

Part of the incident was recorded by citizens, and uploaded to social media, and many have criticised the actions of police for shooting what appeared to be an unarmed man.
