A 20-year-old man is warded in a serious condition at the Eric Williams Medical Complex after he was shot in the face.
The victim has been identified as Kerwin McKenna of Flemming Steet, Longdenville.
He was shot on Wednesday morning while walking along Lamont Street, Longdenville.
According to reports, around 10: 25 am, McKenna was walking along the roadway when he saw a man known to him.
Without warning the man pulled out a firearm, shot at McKenna, then fled the scene.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his face, left shoulder and right leg.
Persons in the area, on hearing the shooting, raise an alarm and McKenna was taken to the Chaguanas District Health Facility where he was treated and then transferred to the Mt. Hope Hospital, where he remains warded up to this morning.
