Man stabbed 6 times while trying to part fight

A Rio Claro man is nursing injuries after he was stabbed six times while trying to part a fight on Sunday. 

The victim, Kevon Clarke, 25, is currently warded in a serious, but stable condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.

He was stabbed to his chest, back, shoulder, and side.

Police were told that around 9 pm on Sunday, Clarke was at his Rio Claro home when he observed a fight break out between two men that he knew.

The 25-year-old attempted to part the fight but one of the men, who was armed with a knife at the time, lashed out at Clarke, hitting him multiple times.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Persons who witnessed the incident contacted the police and paramedics.

Clarke was rushed to the Princes Town District Health Facility where he was treated and stabilised before being transferred to the General Hospital.

The suspect, a 42-year-old man, surrendered himself to police on Monday morning.

Loop News was told he admitted to his role in the incident and was apologetic.

He is expected to be questioned and charged.
