Man stabbed in confrontation at Marabella bar

A 32-year-old man is warded at the San Fernando General Hospital after receiving a stab wound he sustained during a confrontation in Marabella on Sunday morning.

The victim, Marlon Taylor, was at a popular bar along the Southern Main Road, Marabella, around 4.45 am that day, when he got into a confrontation with a man known to him.

The confrontation became physical, which allegedly resulted in Taylor receiving stab wounds to his neck and chest.

The suspect, who police were told was armed with a knife he had on his person, fled the scene on foot.

Taylor was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

PC Matloo is continuing investigations.

An arrest is said to be imminent.
