Man stabbed in neck during Santa Cruz J'ouvert

Carnival Monday's J'ouvert celebrations were not without incidents after a man was stabbed in the neck at J'ouvert in Santa Cruz. 

According to reports, the victim, Anthony Guppy, was stabbed in his neck during J’ouvert celebrations in Santa Cruz.

Thankfully the injury sustained, while serious, was not said to be life-threatening.

According to police reports, on Monday morning during the celebrations, Guppy was stabbed once in the neck by a person not known to him.

He was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex by officers of the North Eastern Division including PC Thomas and WPC  Solomon where he was treated.

Sgt Quashie of the Santa Cruz Police Station is continuing inquiries.
