Man stabbed in Point Fortin brawl

A fight between two men in Point Fortin on Wednesday left one nursing stab wounds and the other missing part of his lower lip.

Reports say around 10:30 pm, the two men, a 25-year-old chef and a 29-year-old labourer, both from Point Fortin, were in the vicinity of Temptation Bar when they got into an altercation.

During the altercation, the 25-year-old man allegedly stabbed the 29-year-old man with a sharp object.

The victim bit off part of the man’s lower lip, as he attempted to fend of his attacker.

Persons who witnessed the altercation parted the fight and notified the police.

The two injured men were taken for medical treatment.

The 29-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his upper and mid-back while the 25-year-old suffered a 5 cm wound to his low lip with avulsion and tissue loss.
