Man still critical after jumping from police building

The 39-year-old man who jumped out of an eleventh-storey window at Riverside Plaza is said to still be warded at the Port of Spain General Hospital under police guard in a critical condition.

The suspect, who was being questioned about Donald Marcano, who was shot dead in Paramin last Tuesday, reportedly suffered several broken bones to his arms and legs, as well as a torn rotator cuff, LoopTT was told.

He is said to be under police guard.

On Saturday afternoon, the suspect, while being questioned on his potential involvement in the murder, opted to jump out of the window.

His fall was broken when he landed on a navy blue Chevrolet Aveo motor vehicle.

He was rushed to the hospital where he has been warded since.

More on this as it becomes available.
