Tobago couple killed after birthday celebration

A Tobago man and his common-law wife were killed after moments after he celebrated his 69th birthday, according to police officials.
Acting Senior Superintendent Jeffrey George said to LoopTT that 69-year-old John Mills, a former Amoco oilfield worker, and his common-law wife, Euline John, 61, both of Cocrico Avenue, Buccoo, were both found dead at their home on Thursday.
The news has shocked the Tobago community.
LoopTT was told that Mills celebrated his 69th birthday on Wednesday, and had friends over for a lime on Wednesday night.
Their lifeless bodies were found the next day.
Police were at the scene up to Thursday afternoon; investigations are ongoing.

Authorities rushed to the scene in Tobago where a man and woman were reportedly found dead.
Although information is still coming in, the bodies were said to have been discovered around midday on Thursday.
The incident was said to have taken place off Buccoo New Road in Western Tobago.
Officials were still at the scene up to 3:16 pm.
