Manhunt on for bandits who robbed elderly man of $70,000 Laura Dowrich-Phillips Created : 18 August 2018 Crime A 60-year-old contractor was robbed of $70,000 at gunpoint on Friday in Princes Town. The victim was said to have been at his business place at Manahambre Road, Princes Town when around midday, two men armed with firearms forced their way inside the office. One of the men pointed their weapon at the 60-year-old and demanded that he hand over all his cash and valuables. Fearful for his life, the 60-year-old man complied with the order. The assailants then fled the scene. The man was not harmed during the ordeal. The police were notified and a team of officers from the Princes Town Police Station and the Ste Madeleine Police Station visited the scene. Police have received descriptions of the two suspects and a manhunt is currently ongoing.
