Manhunt on as murder-accused escapes from Arima court

Police are on the hunt for a Golden Grove Prisoner, Teddy Singh, who escaped from the Arima Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, 26-year-old Singh, who is charged with murder, escaped from a holding cell in the court around 10 am.

Police have reportedly been sweeping the area but are yet to recapture Singh.

The escapee is said to be of East Indian descent, approximately 180 cm or 5 feet 9 inches tall, with long hair worn in a ponytail.

Singh had been in police custody since December 2014.
