Man's car stolen at gunpoint while parked outside auto supply store

Police are searching for three men who robbed a 34-year-old man at gunpoint in Laventille.

The victim lives in St Barb’s.

He told police that around 12:30 pm on Sunday, he was seated in the driver’s seat of a white Nissan Tiida valued at $50,000, parked along the Eastern Main Road outside an auto supply store.

The driver had his windows down at the time.

He informed officers that he was approached by three unknown men, one of whom pulled out a firearm and placed it at the 34-year-old's head.

One of the suspects told the victim, “don’t try nothing stupid or you could dead here today”.

The men then forced the man to exit the car before jumping in and driving off.

WPC Friday is continuing inquiries.
