Maracas, Las Cuevas beach bathrooms closed

Visitors to the Maracas and Las Cuevas beaches will not be able to use bathroom facilities due to a lack of water.

This, according to a notice published by the Tourism Development Company on Friday.

According to the notice, both beaches have been experiencing "water issues".

"Due to the ongoing water issues in Las Cuevas, Maracas and surrounding areas, an interruption in water service to the Las Cuevas and Maracas beach facilities may be experienced."

"Should this occur, the restroom amenities at both facilities will be closed to the public until a continuous supply of water is regained”.

The TDC added that it was committed to “providing a positive beach experience for all" and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
