Maraval man held with gun, ammo

A 21-year-old man from Maraval has been arrested after a revolver and a quantity of ammunition were seized at his home by officers of the Carenage Police Station following the execution of a search warrant.

The officers went to the man’s Le Platte Village, Maraval, home during the course of an anti-crime exercise, spearheaded by Insp. (Ag.) Godfrey Vincent, including officers of the Carenage CID, Four Roads CID, the Western Division Task Force (WDTF) and Court and Process Branch, between the hours of 4 am and 8 am on Thursday.

The search yielded a Colt revolver and six rounds of .38mm ammunition.

The man was subsequently arrested.
