Marijuana found in backpack in abandoned Woodbrook house

A police search of an abandoned house in Woodbrook yielded another seizure of marijuana, this time hidden in a backpack.

According to a report from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force Strike Team during an anti-crime exercise in the Woodbrook district.

The exercise, supervised by Cpl Brian Phillips, was conducted between 9:00 pm and 1:50 am, on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Around 10:10 pm Thursday, officers conducted a search of an abandoned house on Buller Street, Woodbrook, where they found a black and gold coloured Jansport backpack, containing three packets of marijuana.

The drug totalled three kilogrammes in weight and has an estimated street value of TT$30,000.

No arrest was made in connection with the find.
