Marijuana found hidden in vacuum, siblings arrested

Officers in the North-Eastern Division seized three kilograms of marijuana, hidden in an old vacuum at a home in El Socorro.

The seizure was made during a police exercise in the Northern and North-Eastern Divisions between the hours of 2:30pm and 5:45pm.

Officers went to Ward Lane Extension, El Socorro, where they executed a search warrant.

A man and his sister were detained by the team in connection with the find.

The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Winston Maharaj, Supt (Ag) Mayard-Wilson, Supt (Ag) Alexander, ASP Parryman and Inspector Ramsingh.

It was coordinated by Sgt (Ag) Martin and supervised by Cpl Daniel and Cpl (Ag) Duncan.
