Marijuana valued at $17K seized in Moruga

A quantity of marijuana was discovered by officers of the Moruga Police Station during an anti-crime exercise conducted between 8:30 am and 11:30 am on Monday.

Police officers, supervised by acting Cpl Chris Thomas, conducted a search of a drug block at La Lune Main Road.

There, they discovered 1.7 kilogrammes of marijuana wrapped in a multi-coloured cloth hidden in a bushy area.

The drug has an estimated street value of TT$17,000.

No arrest was made in connection with the find.
