Marlene McDonald secures bail, remains warded

Former Minister of Public Administration Marlene McDonald secured her $2 million bail on Wednesday, but remains warded at the St. Clair Medical Centre.

The document was expected to have been sent to the prison, where it would be officially stamped before being returned to the hospital.

This was expected to be done on Wednesday night.

Once McDonald is discharged, she will be able to go home.

McDonald was one of five people who have been charged with several offences including conspiracy to defraud the Government and offences of money laundering.

Former Chairman of the National Commission for Self Help Edgar Zephyrine was also able to access his $1 million bail on Wednesday.
