McDonald's: Employees' wellbeing a 'high concern'
Fast food chain McDonald's has been in contact with the family of slain branch manager Ashmeed Mohammed.
Mohammed was shot dead at the Cipriani Boulevard branch on Sunday as gunmen stormed the building.
The family has since called for increased security at the location following Sunday's tragic incident.
In a statement to LoopTT, McDonald's TT, which expressed sadness over Mohammed's loss, said the wellbeing of its employees is its top priority.
The fast food chain said it has been in contact with the slain employee's family.
"We have been in contact with Ashmeed's family since the tragedy occurred and our highest concern continues to be their wellbeing and that of our employees."
McDonald's TT indicated that it is working with the authorities to ensure that Mohammed's killers are brought to justice.
"We are providing them with support in this difficult time while also cooperating with authorities to identify the perpetrators of this crime and ensure the safety of our employees."
