McDonald's to introduce 70 new jobs in T&T in 2019
McDonald’s franchise holder Arcos Dorados has announced plans to add 70 new formal jobs in 2019 in Trinidad and Tobago.
The company will increase its labour supply by 20 percent over 2018.
In a statement on Tuesday, the company said by the end of this year, it intends to create more than 55,000 jobs in Latin America and the Caribbean - 4,500 people included in the labour market per month, at an average of 140 new hires per day.
The company said it wants to be a catalyst for change amidst a challenging economic environment; inviting new minds into the workforce and providing training for these individuals to advance in their careers.
Kalifa Duncan, Market Supervisor, McDonald’s Trinidad and Tobago spoke further on the company adding more jobs.

In 2018, Arcos Dorados created 56 new formal jobs in Trinidad and Tobago, giving young people access to learning opportunities and skills development in a highly demanding operation that helps them acquire relevant experience for further professional development.
The company will host a Job Fair at McDonald’s Cipriani Boulevard restaurant on Wednesday from 11 am 2 pm.
Interested applicants are invited to attend.
To start at McDonald’s, applicants are only required to be at least 18 years of age, and to be willing to learn and become a good teammate. No previous experience is required, and the company offers flexible schedules to accommodate the applicant’s academic life.
