Met Office issues yellow level Adverse Weather Alert

The Meteorological Office has issued a yellow level adverse weather alert.

In the alert, the Met Office said showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave are continuing over various parts of Trinidad and Tobago.

"There is a heightened risk for increased, periodic activity overnight and tomorrow. Street/flash flooding and landslips are possible in areas that are usually susceptible, and it is also possible for winds to gust in excess of 50km/hr," the advisory said. 

The adverse weather alert will run from 8 pm today until 12 pm tomorrow.
