Met Office monitors area of disturbed weather, expect rain

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service says it is currently monitoring an area of disturbed weather progressing towards the Lesser Antilles.

It says there is a high chance (70%) of cyclone development over the next 5 days.

The Met Office says regardless of the development, Trinidad and Tobago can see an increase in showers on Monday and Tuesday.

It posted the following update on its Facebook page on Thursday.

  • We are currently monitoring an area of disturbed weather progressing towards the Lesser Antilles.
  • It has a high chance (70%) of cyclone development over the next 5 days.
  • Regardless of the development, T&T can see an increase in showers on Monday and Tuesday next week.
